People Development Manager
Salary: to £40,000 plus benefits
PGL is the market leading residential based educational activity holidays operators in the UK and growing fast into Europe. Employing thousands at peak and Headquartered in beautiful Ross-On-Wye the business has recently been acquired by Holidaybreak Plc and is poised to grow further. As part of the plan they need to appoint a People Development Manager to develop the resources going forward.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager the People Development Manager will be responsible for working across all tiers of management to define the 3 - 5 year company wide training strategy and for implementing a structural development framework to support the business plan. Key to the continued growth of this market leading organisation will be bringing talent through the business into higher performing roles.
Managing a team comprising the Learning and Development Team Leader and Training Programmes Manager, and supported by a team of 10 Trainers, you will have the opportunity to define the necessary interventions going forward to take a range of junior, middle and senior managers through a series of learning pathways to heighten overall performance. In order to make an impact on the whole approach to Training and Development it is likely that the person for this role will be an established Training, Development or Learning Manager who has a strong grounding in setting-up development frameworks and using competency based programmes to achieve business outcomes alongside the mentoring and coaching of key managers within the business to a higher level of achievement.
