Senior Project Manager (Civils Engineering Construction)
Salary: £70,000 Base Salary (Flexible) + Bonus + Benefits

Our client is a highly successful specialist UK contractor. The company specialise in civil engineering construction and design and build contracts. The business works across the North East, North West, East Coast and South East on a wide variety of projects that entail areas such as:

RIVER & COASTAL WORKS
JETTY, QUAYSIDE AND SEA WALL REPAIRS
REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURES
TIMBER DEMOLITION & RECONSTRUCTION
STEEL PILING FLOOD DEFENCES
BRIDGES AND NON-MARINE STRUCTURES
The Requirement

Due to recent growth and expansion, the company is looking to invest in recruiting a suitably experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager, to predominantly be site based.

Core Role & Responsibilities

Ensure a Contract Programme is in place and checked by your Contracts Manager
Work with the Commercial Department to ensure that a cost to date and forecast is produced monthly
Understand the Contract and ensure changes are promptly brought to the attention of the QS and Client
Ensure contracts are worked to in line with drawings and specifications and without defects
To liaise closely with and obtain advice/instruction on commercial matters from the Quantity Surveyor
Continually value engineer schemes yourself and promote it with your staff
Ensure the site project work is profitable
Expertise

Proven track record of successfully project managing civil engineering construction site work in any sector
Strong understanding of earthworks, hard civils and re-inforced concrete & steel issues
Relevant engineering qualification
