Head of E-Commerce

This is an exciting new opportunity to appoint a Head of E-Commerce. This is a key appointment for the business.

The successful candidate will join one of the most exciting lifestyle brand companies in the global housewares market today.

This is a newly created high profile role to develop, significant growth for the digital sales channel across the EMEA region. As the business has evolved and grown over the years, digital sales have become increasingly important.

The new Head of E-Commerce will be results-driven and digitally fluent and used to working with successful Luxury Brands. The successfully appointed individual will be a high-energy, digital marketing communications professional with a proven track record of success. They will thrive in a competitive, creative environment and be committed to playing a pivotal role within the business.

The role will suit an individual who loves all things digital – from the creative end of the spectrum to the technical – with a track record of delivering strong lead generation results.

The successful candidate will be on the upward trajectory of their digital marketing career. The role encompasses a broad and exciting remit; the opportunity to define the digital e-commerce marketing strategy for the company as it embarks on its next phase of growth, combined with a hands-on approach, excellent creativity and drive and ambition.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Reporting to the Managing Director and Board, you will be responsible for driving the e-commerce/digital business strategy and achieving growth sales targets. This will involve managing digital partners, creating business plans and working closely with the wider business to develop digital channels. With full responsibility for the digital channel, you will be accountable for growing the business to its full potential.

This is a newly created high profile role within the business, with the opportunity to transform and achieve significant growth for digital sales channels over the next 1–3 years and beyond.

Key responsibilities

  • Developing and owning the existing business strategy plan for e-commerce/digital sales, to help ensure annual sales targets and growth targets are achieved.
  • Collaborating with the product, marketing, digital marketing and sales teams to formulate integrated sales and marketing plans across the business, ensuring they improve.
  • Developing and growing new client accounts within the digital channel.
  • Developing the sales agenda for the digital channel and ensure collaboration across the wider business.

Skills & Competencies

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience leading an e-commerce function in a fast growth luxury brand organization.
  • A minimum of ten years’ experience within a focused B2C digital marketing communications environment.
  • A demonstrable track record of growing digital sales.
  • An exceptional understanding of the internet, natural optimisation, PPC campaigns, digital and emerging trends.
