New Business Development Manager (Print Services)
Salary: Competitive Base Salary + Package


Our Client & Background

Our client is a SME full solutions provider in the managed print sector helping businesses in central London manage their printing and document management requirements. Their growing sales team are looking to recruit an experienced and successful New Business Development Manager.

Typically, the company recruits graduates straight from university who undergo sales induction and extensive training programme. However due to the Covid crisis they are looking to hire a more experienced sales professional who already has solid experience that they can build on to get them to the next level. In particular the company is looking for new business sales-people who could work with corporate accounts. Candidates will already have a good understanding of new business sales processes and have a good track record of achievements in their career to date.

Experience & Track Record

Suitable candidates will have the following track records:

  • Proven New Business track records with targets being exceeded consistently 
  • Sales experience doing the full 360 degree sales process, (from lead generation through to closing the deal), managing the implementation and installation of a product or service and building ongoing relationships.
  • Ability to manage a full solution sale, incorporating both products (hardware and software) and a long term service contracts.
  • A track record of success (in normal times if Covid sector effected)
  • Commercially smart, high EQ with gravitas

The Opportunity

  • This business has already won a number of larger corporate accounts in central London so has a track record of both winning these larger accounts but also delivering a level of service superior to competitors.
  • The business has identified over 1000 companies in the London area which fits the profile of the types of customer they want to work with and they estimate that about a third of these are in a window where they could win their business.
  • Typically, because of the company’s business model they save on average new clients 32% of their ongoing costs with service levels much higher than main competitors in London.
  • The client company is finding that as businesses return to working in offices many are looking at new office space which is a prime trigger point for reviewing office print contracts so whilst the Covid crisis has effected the industry they believe that a huge opportunity exists which they intend to take advantage of.
