Director of Sales
Salary: c.£60,000 + bonus + car + benefits + potential equity/fast track to Board
Director of Sales – FMCG, Yorkshire
Our client is a well established and very successful FMCG manufacturer. Building upon its strong financial and market position, the Board wishes to appoint a high calibre Director of Sales to work closely with the executive team to help pursue a number of strategic goals.
This role will be most attractive to a proven sales leader with a longer-term view of their career with desires, in time, for full Board responsibility and future equity ownership of a very profitable business.
Highlights of the role include:
Full management responsibility of the Sales function and its team members
Working with the executive team, you will add expertise and value to a range of strategic decisions being considered by the business.
Strengthening relationships with existing large supermarket and pharmacy clients to increase sales across multiple product categories, whilst protecting margin
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate successful experience of the following:
Performing a sales leadership role within a mid-sized FMCG manufacturer
Working with demanding supermarket clients
Selling regulated products in a fiercely competitive market, ideally private label products
Pricing and stock forecasting
Operating with autonomy, making key strategic decisions and successfully implementing visions
Strong communication and negotiation skills with local and international stakeholders.
As part of the executive management team, you must be able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial ‘hands on’ approach to business.
