Interim Finance Director (Paris)
Salary: Executive interim package
Our client is a fast growth UK digital technology group looking for an experience French speaking Interim FD to lead their recently acquired French subsidiary
This is a new and important appointment as our client continues to grow organically and by acquisition. The latest and largest acquisition is of a major 40 million Euro annual revenue, 320 employee Company which has been acquired in France.
As this growth continues, it has been recognised that the appointment of a high-calibre Interim Finance Director is required in this divisional business to see the business through a significant period of change.
The overall objective of this post will be to provide the divisional business with robust strategic change management leadership, financial leadership and management as well as recruiting and developing a financial team which is likely to number 15.
The Interim Finance Director will assess current financial and operational systems/procedures and in line with growth aspirations agree, make the appropriate improvements.
Reporting to the Divisional MD with a dotted reporting line also to Group Finance Director, the role will engage with the Executive Directors, and Senior Management Team. It is important that the new appointee can work independently but maintain a high degree of loyalty to the UK parent Board.
The new role will have project based responsibilities to review, plan and implement positive change in the following areas in line with French accounting rules
- Accounting Systems
- IT Systems
- Risk Management
- Corporate Compliance Finance and Banking Management
- Cost Control
- Objective Experience
It is envisaged that candidates will be educated to a high standard and have a successful interim/change management track record. Candidates will have professional financial qualifications as a Chartered or Certified accountant. It is likely that candidates will have a minimum of 15 years post qualification experience gained within the accountancy profession as well as more latterly in industry/commerce.
Candidates will have had experience of working internationally, ideally in France, with experience of French accounting rules and naturally be fluent in French.
It is imperative that candidates have a proven track record of success in managing projects/initiatives that have improved financial processes/ procedures particularly in businesses that are in a turnaround or restructuring phase.
Candidates will have successfully recruited, developed and managed teams; they will have had a proven track record of working within fast growing businesses, ideally businesses with high numbers of customers.
Experience gained in acquisitive companies, where successful post-acquisition integration has been achieved, will be very useful. It is critical that candidates have strong and proven management skills.
