Sales Manager (International)

Salary: Circa £55k base + bonus + benefits

An international Sales Manager role with a specialist provider of refuelling solutions; This position will suit someone that has experience of selling engineered components, products or systems, ideally with an international track record.Full description:

Our client is a niche international provider of refuelling solutions within the aviation, marine and ground fuels marketplaces. The business is a preferred partner to the world’s major oil companies, into-plane operators and military defence organisations.

Focusing on the design, development and manufacture of aircraft refuelling vehicles, systems and equipment, the extensive product range includes bulk refuellers, diesel or electric dispensers, refuelling carts, marine, portable and static refuelling systems and pump sets. Additionally, the company manufactures and markets an extensive range of associated components and offers equipment repair, refurbishment and onsite maintenance programmes.

The Role:

  • To carry full accountability & responsibility for the sales & marketing function
  • To develop and implement the sales and wider business strategy
  • To manage and direct the sales team
  • Member of the senior management team

Core Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop and secure new sales and market opportunities on an international basis
  • Maintain, enhance and grow existing sales accounts
  • Build professional, open, robust and lasting relationships
  • Undertake regular customer contact, including face-to-face overseas travel
  • Preparation of highly effective major proposals
  • Budget holder
  • Initiate & drive targeted sales campaigns
  • Devise and set individual sales targets - Monitor performance against targets
  • Promotion of the company through media, website, trade fairs and exhibitions
  • Obtain market awareness and analyse competitor activity
  • By territory, identify best route to market through direct accounts or utilising  distributors & agents
  • Regular and accurate reporting

Experience Requirements: 

  • Proven track record of driving strategic sales growth related to selling engineered components, products or systems
  • Experience of selling on an international basis
  • Knowledge of framework agreements and exposure to dealing with procurement/supply chain departments
  • Preferably knowledge and experience of CRM systems
  • Ideally an engineering discipline academic background
