Mergers, Acquisitions & Integration Director

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded expert in mergers and acquisitions. While much of the role will be traditional in terms of identifying targets and completing deals, this role will include the post -acquisition integration. Working closely with the Group CEO you will help shape the company's future success.

Our client is an international high technology group that provides solutions for industries including aviation, defence, security, marine and telecommunications. Solutions are for positioning, navigation, timing, supervision and communication in difficult environments where standard tools are inadequate. Operating from 8 countries, the group’s market is worldwide.

Their aggressive acquisition strategy has seen significant growth in recent years. Further ambitious targets have been set and to lead the acquisition of additional precision electronic systems and software businesses and a new Director of Mergers, Acquisitions and Integration is now being sought.

Working alongside the Group CEO of this international group, you will be expected to manage the whole of the traditional acquisition process as follows:

  • Select and identify targets that fit the pace and direction of the growth strategy
  • Set and agree acquisition budgets
  • Develop business plans, forecasts and models
  • Communicate progress to Board
  • Lead due diligence
  • Conduct final negotiations and agree completion contracts
  • Complete deals

In this case, ensuring the success of post-acquisition integration process is critical.

We’re looking for a specialist who enjoys all aspects of growth by acquisition and who can demonstrate a track record of sustained success in previous similar roles. Of particular interest would be success in an entrepreneurial or high growth business. While not essential, an understanding of a technical product or service area would be an advantage.

Your background will include relevant experience of course and it will be further supported by a commercial or business qualification.
