Professional Services Director

Salary: Six Figure Salary

Our client is a well respected, market leading enterprise software development company with an international client base. Our client is very well established and is enjoying considerable success with substantial opportunities for further international growth.


This senior appointment will lead the Professional Services team to ensure the on time, quality and cost delivery of customer facing Programmes and Projects. The role will require the ability to manage complex Programmes of work with multiple teams and ensure successful delivery across the business.

The role provides overall strategy and direction for the Professional Services discipline and is accountable and responsible for the successful (on time, cost and quality) delivery of all projects to clients.

He/she will develop and maintain a delivery framework for implementation by members of the Project Management Office (PMO).

The role provides and promotes positive relationships with key clients which are objectively monitored and scored and acts as a escalation point for senior stakeholders when required. He/she will resolve issues of escalation when necessary.

Other responsibilities include:

Working with internal key stakeholders to provide continuous operational planning and improve handover points between areas of concern e.g. sales and support Ensuring maximum utilisation and recovery of the time for professional services team members across project and product portfolios Preparing reports for senior stakeholders on performance of projects Contributing towards the overall business strategic direction

Experience required

Delivery of multiple projects and programmes within a customer environment Budgetary/P&L experience of excess of £1m per annum for services Experience of managing of team members including identification of on-going performance management (including appraisal) and professional development

Technical skills-

Recognised Project Management Methodology i.e. PMI, PRINCE2 APM leadership skills 6 Sigma/Lean experience, presentation skills, competent understanding of development and delivery lifecycle, understanding of application architectures

This executive management appointment will enjoy significant levels of autonomy as well as client, staff, technical, commercial and financial management responsibilities. The successful appointee will be expected to take a lead role, with the support of the Directors and other Senior Managers, for the operational success and development of the business.
