Current Roles

Purchasing Manager

Salary: Competitive

Our client is a hugely successful manufacturing business in the fashion sector with a track record of significant growth. Further expansion is anticipated and the new role of Purchasing Manager has been authorised and a highly motivated individual with relevant experience is now being sought.

As part of a busy and modern manufacturing environment the Purchasing Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the supply chain delivers the quality and value required to the business.

Working with a relatively small but geographically widespread group of suppliers, you will ensure that orders are placed and deliveries made in accordance with agreed contracts.

It is expected that with further growth of the business as a whole, the systems used to support purchasing will also evolve so this individual will be expected to play a full part in shaping the future of the purchasing department.

You will play a crucial part in the production of unique products so being able to work alongside a creative team will be vital. A track record of working with international suppliers is essential and knowledge of the Far East would be a significant advantage.

Creative flair and experience of the fashion sector would also be an advantage.

You will be comfortable working with paper and electronic systems and exhibit high levels of attention to detail. Current experience of Critical Path Management is also required. In addition you will have a calm and practical approach to problem solving.

The role will require travel and will suit someone confident in and comfortable with long haul business travel. You will live or be prepared to live in southwest England.

For competitive reasons the assignment is confidential but if you feel you have the experience and attitude required please send us your CV. We will endeavour to contact all those who apply.
