Head of Health/Pharma sector

Salary: Competitve salary plus bonus

Our client is a leading digital marketing and integrated communications agency with a strong reputation for digital marketing in the pharmaceutical sector. An increase in demand for their services with existing clients has created the need to appoint an individual who can lead the current portfolio and determine how and where the business grows.



The successful candidate will be able to maximise the potential of the existing client portfolio by ensuring consistent high quality of strategic and creative output and inspiring clients to realise the benefits of digital technologies in their communication efforts.



The ideal candidate will be a proven operator and must have first-hand knowledge and experience of the Pharmaceutical sector, including:


  • General consumer and specialist healthcare, from OTC to specific disease areas and related drugs / treatments

     

  • Charitable awareness activities

     

  • A good understanding of the medical 'sales force' model, including insights, relevant communication channels and specialist media

     

  • Industry codes of practice (in relation to marketing communications)

     


Experienced in a range of marketing disciplines and associated tools and technologies, covering:


  • eCRM and e-mail marketing

     

  • Social media

     

  • Mobile marketing

     

  • A first hand knowledge of digital marketing techniques is not a requirement although would be seen as an advantage.

     


This role is very much about building and nurturing relationships. The candidate must be able to quickly integrate with existing client relationships and the Agency culture in order to work most effectively.
