Current Roles

IT Director

Salary: flexible c£80,000 + benefits

Holidaybreak Plc Education Division, comprising of market leading educational holidays operator PGL and educational tours organiser NST, is a £100m business employing 500 staff across 2 head office locations with centres throughout the UK and Europe. Through acquisition by Holidaybreak Plc in 2007 there is an increasing need to integrate the IT function across the sites to support ongoing growth.

With dual reporting lines to primarily the Education Division FD and a dotted line responsibility to the MD at NST, this is a key senior divisional management role, with full budget responsibility within a sizeable and ambitious organisation.

The role of Director of IT has three main strands to it:

- the management of people and the cultural integration of the two IT teams
- to plan, drive, and deliver the integration strategy through the teams of people
- to align the IT strategy to the overall business plan to ensure the development of effective tools for the future

This is an exciting opportunity and a great time to join a new divisional organisation in the process of evolving and at a time when they are looking to strengthen the business through increased integration. Both NST and PGL are well established organisations with heritages spanning over fifty years. As such they have developed market leading positions in their respective fields providing a solid base to go forward .

To make a difference within this changing organisation you are likely to already be a Director of IT who has led a successful integration programme within a multi-site business where both people and processes have needed alignment into a new organisation. This is a people management role as well as a strategic role providing the necessary inputs into developing the IT infrastructure to support the business plan.
