General Manager - Finance & Business Services

Salary: c£70k plus package

Our client is a major travel services business. This is a demanding and hands on senior appointment ensuring our client's strategy, systems, policies and cost control are aligned effectively to deliver their business plan.

This key appointment will play a key role in maintaining operational integrity, sustaining customer focus and meeting financial targets while ensuring safety is embedded at all times.

The General Manager will take responsibility for managing the following business functions- HR, Company Administration, Finance, Procurement and IT.

Candidates will have:

A strong understanding of commercial issues demonstrated through achievements in previous commercial roles- being able to see and articulate the strategic view as well as drilling down on detail

Contract negotiation and supplier management abilities

Knowledge of IT, procurement and HR policies, processes and best practices

Successful experience of managing finance within a complex business environment

Leading cost reduction initiatives, quality improvement and process simplification

Candidates will be qualified accountants or qualified by experience.
