Salary: Flexibility salary to attract plus executive package


Are you ready to lead the long-term strategic success of an exciting Construction Support business?

Our client are an independently owned company providing support services throughout the UK for the construction, corporate and property sectors. Headquartered in Glasgow they have a growing presence in the South-East of the UK. They are one of the UK’s leading and most accredited support companies and has been working with main contractors and developers for over 25 years. Their client relationships are key with 90% of work through existing clients so service delivery along with their bespoke Product and Service lines is what makes them stand out. With an emphasis in maximising their reach within construction sector they are now aiming to further diversify over the coming years.

The owners have built the business to date and have a robust and profitable company which is under strong and astute management. A key part of their 3-year business plan is centred on the growth of their Construction division serving main contractors and developers. The subcontracting services would extend to the provision of trades and labour, site services and security. In order to make this successful there is a need to appoint a new individual to lead this division. This person will hold responsibility for the long-term successful performance of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day running of business
  • Follow through on strategic tasks
  • Implement new strategies from CEO
  • Performance of Team

​​Key Tasks:

  • Lead Team on a daily and weekly basis
  • Daily communication with CEO
  • Focus on the daily, weekly and monthly imperatives of the business. Company Dashboard and Dept KPIs
  • Focus should be on the short and medium term, current and next quarter
  • Understand the Business Plan well and be strategically engaged with it
  • Monitoring and drive task completion at senior level across company
  • Study Financial, Sales, Operational and Commercial reporting
  • Make good decision when presented with partial information
  • Be a teller of truth and blunt (constructively so) if necessary
  • Highly organised and good personal admin
  • Good attendance across senior management meetings (Heads and Directors)
  • Staff remunerations and purchase sign off (With CEO if needed
  • Maintain good Client relationships
  • Able to play staff and teams to their strengths

Skills / Abilities /Experience

  • Deep understanding of project managing services in the built environment or property sectors
  • Able to lead and build a personnel led service
  • A demonstrable career strong in commercial management
  • Experience in construction logistics or trades and labour supply is an advantage
  • Success developing and growing a business
