Head of Professional Programmes

Salary: £48k - £50k Base + Benefits

Our client is an academic body whose aim is to encourage and maintain the highest possible standards of patient care in general practice. The College is one of the foremost primary care organisations in the UK. There exists the requirement to recruit experienced health sector Programmes and Project Managers. The key strategic level role to address is a Head of Professional Programmes.

Role & Responsibilities:

As Head of Professional Programmes your role & responsibilities will include the following;

-Strategic leadership of a team and department within The College

-Directing the planning and development of initiatives

-Overseeing a range of key educational and quality projects

-Scoping and bidding for new projects

-Devising business models to roll out sustainable income generating programmes

-Supporting your Director with delivering operational objectives of the directorate Core Experience & Skills:

Suitable applicants will have the following;

-A PRINCE 2 Practitioner qualification

-Primary Care experience and a working knowledge of the wider health service

-Significant senior level project management experience in Health and/or Education

-An ability to work with senior professionals

-Experience of strategic planning, managing teams and of drawing up and monitoring substantial budgets

-Experience of preparing business cases, business plans and funding bids for large and complex projects

-Experience of organising workshops/events/meetings or courses

-Experience of income generation and business management
