Executive Search in the Environmental and Sustainability Sector

Renewables is a new high-growth sector. Whilst there are some established players, it is a sector largely dominated by start-ups, new entrants and new technologies. It is also a field where there are relatively few experienced practitioners and therefore lateral thinking is required in order to bring new executive talent in to the environmental and sustainability sector with transferable skills from other related sectors.

With the reduction of carbon emissions now established as a common theme, our executive search and executive recruitment, that work in environmental and sustainability sectors, cover a number of areas including energy conservation, energy/carbon trading, biofuels production and various power generation technologies including wind, wave, biomass, fuel cells and nuclear.

Waste Management

Over recent years there has clearly been an influx of environmental and waste directives from Europe, with the emphasis thus far on areas such as recycling, high technology incineration and landfill management. With the environmental industry concentrating on the development of increased sustainability in waste management practices, there is a greater emphasis on companies to operate to higher standards of professionalism. This has led to the spotlight focusing on regulation, policy, research and development, which in turn has generated a demand to recruit suitably qualified professionals.
