Managing Director

Our client is a market leading manufacturer of high quality engineered component products used in the international automotive and industrial sectors. The business, which is part of a diversified Plc, is currently enjoying considerable growth and success. The new MD will join at an exciting time with the company poised for notable expansion and development.



The Role

Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the Managing Director will consolidate the excellent progress the business has made over recent years. He/she will also lead the development and implementation of a leading-edge business strategy encompassing new product and market development, to exploit opportunities both with existing customers in the UK and internationally, where market dynamics are changing, as well as driving continuous improvement throughout the business.



This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual to take the business to its next stage. Key focus will be in the growth of the top-line revenue and profitability, supported by product and market development to maintain and grow margins.

 

Candidate Experience

• Experienced proven Managing Director (General Manager), preferably with a background in commercial/operations from a Tier 1 design and manufacturing business supplying high quality products/components to the international automotive and industrial marketplaces
  
   


• Operational experience with P&L growth, with an understanding of strong cost control in a multi-site environment
  
   


• A successful track record of delivering growth
  
   


• Proven experience of creating and managing a fast growing and highly successful business
  
   


• Previous experience of managing multiple businesses
  
   


• Experience of the international marketplace
  
   


• A charismatic leader who clearly demonstrates an ability to empower and motivate a team.
