Our client is an academic body whose aim is to encourage and maintain the highest possible standards of patient care in general practice. This establishment is one of the foremost primary care organisations in the UK. Our client has a key requirement to recruit an experienced healthcare sector project manager to oversee an important programme.

The Project Manager is responsible for establishing a new and fairly precise healthcare related programme and coordinating the workstreams associated with the programme.

These include:

Development of a curriculum for GPs and allied health professionals

Development of a national training programme

Establishing a pilot

Ensuring this educational programme is accredited through the organisation's accreditation route

The postholder will also be responsible for the establishment and secretariat of a national expert advisory group for practitioner health.

The postholder is accountable to the Head of Quality & Initiatives and will work closely with a Clinical lead and colleagues across the organisation, with key stakeholders in other similar organisations and faculties in order to deliver the project in time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.


Experience & Knowledge Requirements:

To be suitable for this role it is desirable that candidates possess the following;

Experience of working within a training/education environment

Experience of working in an NHS or health-related setting

Experience of development work at a national level

It is essential that candidates have;

A working knowledge of primary care and of the wider health service

Knowledge of the principles of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
