| Description: | Our Client, an 'early stage' business with patented technology for corrosion monitoring in refineries and an established, profitable revenue stream, seeks to build the team with this important hire. Market potential is colossal and 'second generation' products are in hand. A culture of adaptability, multi-tasking and 'mucking-in' is evident as is a focus on client service and technical excellence. Reporting to the Support Manager, himself a founder member of the company, you will together form the nucleus of the Support team, the authority on the deployment and operation of the corrosion sensors. Key responsibilities will be in three areas: - Supporting the pre-sales phase and providing technical back-up to the Sales team, including assisting in sales visits overseas, where required - Supporting the deployment of sensors and building client relationships, whilst training on-site installers, verifying quality of work and the data provided by sensors when installed - Supporting clients, maintaining and extending relationships to gain further sales. Providing operational support to systems, through firmware upgrades, training etc and feeding operational data back to the Development team Suitable candidates for this pivotal role will: - Be qualified and experienced Engineers (ideally to HND standard or higher OR qualified by experience, in a relevant discipline) - Have a thirst for travel and flexible approach to fulfilling short-notice requirements to visit client sites, worldwide, as well as the organisational skills to arrange trips, visa's hotels etc - Have current or previous knowledge of the oil refinery / petrochemical plant environment and practices and a sound grasp of the culture and attitudes within it - gained in an engineering based role within or serving the sector for a supply-side business. - Possess excellent communication and relationship building skills - able to influence at all levels, as well as training client staff to effect completion of projects to time and quality - Have an organised and methodical approach to information gathering and recording from clients for transmission to colleagues - Be a team player and use UK office-based time to get involved in development and production aspects of the business This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in a client facing role for a technology leader. |
