Executive Search Case Study - Consumer Products/FMCG
Fosters Drinks is the Wines business of Fosters Brewing infamous for Australian lager and better known for Beringer Blass and Wolf Blass brands. This is a premium brand organisation, winner of many awards and effectively a Sales and Marketing organisation in the UK with distribution across EMEA. The VP EMEA was looking to harmonise Human Resources processes across the Region and I was asked to bring in a European, multi-lingual HR Manager who had worked for a premium branded consumer good business to deliver the resourcing strategy across the region which required knowledge of European employment law across France and Germany where their main hubs of people worked. This resulted in the recruitment of a HRM who become HRD and then a client.
Through further expansion and restructuring several needs arose two of which were to fill vacant positions. i.e. Demand Planner and Operations Manager and the other, through the creation of a new post, HRM Learning and Development. Whilst these roles were very specific in nature Novo Executive Search and Selection worked with the client to fill these roles through a variety of methodologies including enhanced selection and advertising selection. Enhanced selection covers a wealth of ground from the pin-pointing of key individuals in specific markets, such as premium consumer goods, to those with cross transferable skills who can add value to an organisation from the breadth of their knowledge. This works well across HR and Operations as many of the skills associated with these types of roles are used in a variety of environments.
