Nord Gear - Managing Director Appointment

 

NORD Gear Ltd is a subsidiary of the NORD Group, which is one of the world’s leading producers of drive technology for mechanical and electronic solutions. NORD Group is currently ranked as the second largest European company in the geared motor industry.

Due to an interim Managing Director, returning to take up another senior post in Germany within the Group, Novo was appointed to assist with the strategic recruitment of a permanent Managing Director for the UK business.

A comprehensive national executive search was focused on the client’s main competitors, with the result being a successful appointment of an industry specialist who possessed all the appropriate operations and commercial expertise to run this highly profitable business.



Hoare Lea

Hoare Lea is a leading firm of Consulting Engineers with its key focus being mechanical, electrical and environmental engineering in the ‘built environment’. With over 500 staff in 10 UK offices and an enviable growth record, the Partnership’s aim is “to be pre-eminent in our field” and it has achieved strong recognition for its services through working with the leading Architects and Developers on many of the most iconic and prestigious building projects available.

Novo has been involved in senior recruitment for Hoare Lea for over two years and recently undertook two challenging Assignments, for the London office, to recruit a Head of Practice for the Communications Group and a Partner for the M&E Design business unit. These are the highest level posts that Hoare Lea has ever recruited externally.

Novo undertook a comprehensive and pro-active search, supplemented with a targeted on-line advertising campaign that generated outstanding shortlists of committed and motivated candidates for both posts. Novo continues to manage the process which is now in its final stages of offer/accept, with the likely outcome being more than the planned two key hires.
